When Will the Rain Stop?
If you’ve been wondering, “When will the rain stop?” — you’re not alone.
Here in North Yorkshire, weeks of wet weather have slowed groundworks at Helmsley Meadows. The land is simply too saturated for safe progress, which means our new Helmsley cabins with hot tub are waiting patiently for drier days.
But while the rain has paused work on site, progress in the workshop is moving forward.
Two New Helmsley Cabins Taking Shape
The next two cabins are coming along beautifully in the workshop. Their living areas are now complete — walls up, windows in, and the structure of each space fully formed.
Next, we’ll complete the bedrooms and bathrooms — the details that transform a build into a peaceful countryside retreat.
If all goes to plan, these two luxury cabins in Helmsley will be ready within the next few weeks.
Our final spa cabin — featuring its own private sauna — is expected to be completed by the end of March or beginning of April.
Groundworks and Electricity Upgrade
On site, we’re preparing for the next phase. Once our upgraded electricity supply is installed at the end of the month, groundworks will resume as soon as conditions allow.
Building in the North York Moors means working with the seasons, not against them. While winter rain can slow progress, it ensures the land is respected and foundations are properly prepared.
Looking Ahead to Spring at Helmsley Meadows
Spring will mark an exciting new chapter for Helmsley Meadows. Our handcrafted Helmsley cabins with hot tubs and firepits are designed to offer couples a quiet, nature-led escape in North Yorkshire — somewhere to slow down, relax and reconnect.
We’ll continue sharing updates as each stage progresses.
