About Us
At Helmsley Meadows, everything started with a simple dream: to create a peaceful place where people could slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy life on the edge of the North York Moors.
After a two-year search, we found the perfect spot in 2023. Helmsley Meadows has a fascinating history, with the former railway line between Pickering and Helmsley running through the site from 1871 until 1964. The original Crossing Keeper's Cottage still stands proudly here and is now a two bed holiday cottage.
Over the past year, we've been busy bringing the next chapter of Helmsley Meadows to life. Alongside the cottage, we've carefully designed and built four bespoke adult-only cabins, each created to offer a unique countryside escape while sharing the same love of nature, comfort and thoughtful design. We're delighted that the cabins are now open for bookings and welcoming their first guests.
We live on site and are nearby should you need anything during your stay. That said, we believe the best escapes are the ones where you can truly switch off, so we've designed everything to allow for a completely independent stay, with private outdoor spaces where you can relax, unwind and enjoy the meadow views at your own pace.
